Description
‘Tabby’ by Hazel K Adlam | Watercolour
This gorgeous portrait of a typical tabby is the work of Hazel K Adlam. Working in oil, pastel, acrylic and watercolour from her studio in rural Essex, Adlam has been a professional artist for over thirty years, and creates commission pieces for a worldwide clientele.
‘Tabby Cat’ is a fine example of her traditional realist style, capturing a curious glint in the eyes and a well-observed scruffy (and temptingly strokable) coat around the chest. It is signed with the monogram HKA in the lower-right corner. We have finished the piece with a Larson-Juhl conservation-grade mount and under-mount.
