Description
‘Breakfast Cats’ by Hilary Whyard | Wood Engraving | 1980s
An intricate and wonderfully detailed woodblock print featuring two cat friends, part of a small series produced by artist and printmaker Hilary Whyard during the early phase of her career, around 1983.
Here the scene is an English country kitchen at breakfast-time, the teapot and the morning post on the table, a black cat and a tabby perched expectantly on the only seats. Of particular note are the fabrics and china patterns, which are engraved in fine and intricate detail.
This print has been professionally mounted with quality pH neutral materials and is ready to give as a gift or place into your choice of 8″ x 10″ frame. As with all prints from Thrilled Kitty, this piece is guaranteed to be a genuine work and not a copy or reproduction.
