Hand-painted Cat & Dog Stone Paperweight | Signed H.L. Thompson

A romantic sentiment and a sweetly painted cat and dog pair grace a carefully selected riverbed pebble to make an attractive and useful paperweight. This is a wonderfully tactile, smoothly rounded natural stone that fits pleasingly into the palm of the hand; it is hefty enough to make a very effective paperweight, but also makes for a charming decorative piece. It dates most likely to the late twentieth century.

Condition Report: In excellent vintage condition. One or two very minor surface marks, commensurate with age, and a couple of minor inconsistencies on the underside of the stone, as would be expected with a natural material. Artwork is in good order. Overall a very fresh and presentable paperweight or decorative item.
