Description
Charming Cat’s Face Footed Brass Dish | Mid Twentieth Century
A cheerful feline face cast in solid brass, sculpted with charming detail in the bushy whiskers and ever-so-slightly poking-out tongue. The underside of this solid and useful dish incorporates three sturdy little feet to keep it stable.
This is the perfect spot to safely keep small items which have a habit of disappearing when you put them down. Pop your wedding ring on this cheery cat’s face if you take it off to wash up, or give your keys to him after shutting the door on a long day so you can be sure of where they’ll be in the morning (please note: this does not constitute a guarantee due to the unique vanishing properties of keys).
The dish is ready for daily service, having undergone a deep clean with an electrolytic plate and a careful re-polishing. A good degree of patina has been retained to enhance the fine detail of the casting.
Approximate Dimensions: 10cm x 10cm (at the longest/widest point)
Condition Report: In very good vintage order, with some minor dings to the nose and very slight wear to raised parts of the casting from generations of polishing.
